THE SPIRIT UPON...........
" And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hands; but he told not his father and his mother what he had done."Judges 14:6
This is what Samson did to the young lion that attacked him.
From our openning verse, you will discover that the Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson and he became another man.
The description " the Spirit comes upon" and the " indwelling presence of God" are two different discriptions of the same HolySpirit. Most times people tend to confuse both and use these descriptions interchangably without understanding.
The "Spirit within" is also called "the indwelling of the HolySpirit". This is the experience of salvation. When a man receives Jesus into his life( the new birth), the Holy Spirit comes in and abide in him (1John 2:27a, Romans 8:11a). By virtue of the fact that the Holy Spirit lives in him, life is given. The person becomes alive in Christ. This person is a living tabernacle of the HolySpirit....Hallelujah!!!
The Spirit that comes upon is the same HolySpirit but this time, He comes upon. When you observe closely when the Spirit came on Samson, he killed the lion without difficulties. The Bible showed us the same thing with David, that he became like another man... This shows that Spirit upon is the anionting to accomplish specific task with ease. This is for service. In the Old testament, the Spirit of God came mightily upon men that were used of God like Samson,David,Samuel and the prophets. They don't have the indwelling presence of God because humanity as of that time was seperated from God. The Spirit could only come upon them to use them to fulfill certain tasks. They were not bornagain and so they were not saved.
Jesus made it possible today that we have the indwelling presence of God and Spirit upon. The Spirit of God come upon us to fulfill God's purpose for us and also lives in us. We are children of God. We are more than a conqueror because the greater one with His greater abilities lives in us......Hallelujah..God bless you all.

MAKING DECISIONS AS A CHRISTIAN

How do I know when I am making the right decision? Prov 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path” There are people who are of the opinion that when they feel good about a decision, it’s the right one. Feeling good about a decision has nothing to do with it being right or wrong. You can make a good decision and feel bad about it and you can make a bad decision and feel good about it. So it’s got nothing to do with how you feel. What you need is the knowledge of God’s Word and a good relationship with the Holy Spirit. When you give yourself to the Word of God and yield to the prompting of the Spirit of God, you’d always be guided in every situation to make decision that are consistent with God’s will and purpose for you. And if it requires that you talk to someone, you can discuss with your Pastor, because pastoral guidance could be of help in certain situations. A...
.....THINKING IS NOT WORRY...part 1. Most often people tend to misinterprete or confuse both as though they are the same but in reality they are not. .....THINK... To think means to ponder, to go over in one's head. It means to communicate to oneself in one's mind, to find solutions to problems. It means to conceive of something or someone. ....WORRY....... It means to disturb the peace of mind, afflict with mental agitation or distress. It means to be troubled, to give way to mental anxiety. Anxiety is an unpleasant state of mental uneasiness, nervousness, apprehension and obsession or concern about some uncertain event. Thinking has to do with strategizing, planning but worry is a form thought that has been blown out of proportion resulting to mental anxiety since the imaginations formed reveal hopelessness. This is to say that thinking is focused on achieving the task ahead(Hope) but worry is a result of seeing hopelessness. Philipians 4:6" be careful for noth...
